This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What personal information we collect
Personal information is information about an identified person, or a person who can reasonably be identified. Depending on what you ask us to do, we may collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and suburb or postcode;
- the vehicle you are interested in, your trade-in vehicle and your messages to us;

- delivery and payment details if you order merchandise or buy a vehicle;
- basic technical data such as browser type and the pages you visit, if you contact us through our website.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health or political views) and do not need it. Please do not send it to us.
How we collect it
We collect most information directly from you, through our website forms, by phone, email, text, social media messages, and in person. We may also receive information from our finance partner, transport providers and the people you ask us to deal with.
Why we collect and use it
- to respond to your enquiry, book a test drive or inspection, and sell and deliver a vehicle;
- to introduce you to our finance partner when you ask for finance, so they can assess your request;
- to process merchandise orders and give you receipts;
- to meet our legal duties, including motor dealer, consumer, tax and record-keeping laws;
- to improve our website and services;
- to send you news and offers, if you have agreed to receive them.
If you do not give us the information we need, we may not be able to help you or arrange finance.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Our finance partner, A Lend Finance (credit representative 568862 of Rivercity Finance Pty Ltd, Australian Credit Licence 539918), and lenders they work with, when you ask for finance. They handle your information under their own privacy policy and credit guide;
- transport, inspection, insurance and registration providers involved in your purchase;

- our accountant, lawyers and other advisers;
- government bodies, regulators and law enforcement, when the law requires or allows it.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information. By giving us your information you agree that we may disclose it to those providers for these purposes.
Marketing
We will only send you marketing texts or emails if you have agreed, or if the law otherwise allows it. Every marketing message includes a way to opt out, and you can also tell us at any time by contacting us. We do not use your personal information for marketing by other businesses.
Cookies and website data
Our website stores a small amount of information in your browser, such as your shopping cart, so the site works properly. It does not use that information to identify you. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy.
Security and how long we keep information
We protect personal information using access controls, encrypted connections, password-protected admin access and reputable service providers. No system is completely secure. We keep records for as long as the law and our business needs require, usually at least seven years for sales records, and then delete or de-identify them. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days, and may need to confirm your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.
Keeping information accurate
We take reasonable steps to keep information accurate, up to date and complete. Please tell us if your details change.

If you have a privacy concern, contact us at Admin@powerhouseperformance.com.au or 0492 995 071. We will investigate and reply within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
